Tomato Uttapam - Uttapam Recipe South Indian Style - Gujarati Rasoi

Tomato Uttapam is a popular South Indian recipe which is enjoyed by everyone. We have used cherry tomatoes in this recipe which makes the Uttapam beautiful. This recipe has no onions and hence our Jain friends can prepare it and enjoy it. Enjoy this recipe with South Indian Coconut Chutney.
  • Idli-Dosa Batter
  • Cherry Tomato Slices
  • Chopped Green Chilies (Hari Mirch)
  • Chopped Coriander Leaves (Dhania)
  • Sambar Masala
  • Salt
  • Water
  1. In the idli-dosa batter add salt and water. Mix well and prepare the batter for uttapam. Make the batter little bit thick for uttapam.
  2. Add some oil on tawa and pour the batter. Prepare the uttapam. Let it cook from bottom.
  3. Now place some cherry tomato slices, chopped green chilies, chopped coriander leaves and press them slightly so that the vegetables stick to the batter.
  4. Sprinkle some sambar masala. Turn the uttapam and cook the other sides. Cook well from both sides.
  5. Our uttapam is ready. Serve it with chutney
