Mumbai Street Food Pav Bhaji - Street Style Pav Bhaji at Home - Gujarati Rasoi

Pav Bhaji is a favorite street food recipe which is loved by everyone. Today we will make Pav Bhaji street style, just like the Mumbai Pav Bhaji which is red in color. Ingredients:
  • Pav
  • 300 Grams Potatoes
  • 150 Grams Cauliflower (Phool Gobi)
  • 150 Grams Green Peas (Matar)
  • 2 Finely Chopped Onions
  • 2 Finely Chopped Tomatoes
  • 1 Finely Chopped Capsicum (Shimla Mirch)
  • 1.5 -2 Teaspoons Ginger Garlic (Adrak-Lehsun) Paste
  • 2-3 Teaspoons of Dried Kashmiri Red Chilli (Lal Mirch) Paste
  • 1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
  • ½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
  • 1-1.5 Teaspoon Dhana Jeera Powder
  • 2-3 Teaspoon Pav Bhaji Masala
  • Red Chili (Lal Mirch) Powder
  • 2 Teaspoons of Butter
  • Lemon Juice
  • Coriander Leaves
  • Salt
  • Oil
  • Water 
Procedure:
  1. Boil potatoes, cauliflower and green peas in a pressure cooker.
  2. Now heat some oil and add butter. Add cumin seeds and let it crackle. Add chopped onions and stir till it turns transparent.
  3. Add ginger garlic paste and dried Kashmiri red chili paste. Stir well. For the red chili paste, soak the red chilies and then grind it into a paste.
  4. Add finely chopped tomatoes and finely chopped capsicum. Stir well till tomatoes become soft.
  5. Add turmeric powder, dhana jeera powder and pav bhaji masala. Mix well.
  6. Mash the vegetables well. Add salt as per taste and water. Mix well.
  7. Add lemon juice, coriander leaves and some butter. Mix well and our bhaji is ready.
  8. On a tawa add some butter, let it melt then add a pinch of red chili powder and some coriander leaves. Roast the pavs in this masala.
  9. Serve the bhaji with pav and some chopped onions and lemon. Pav Bhaji is ready.
