Easy Kadai Paneer Recipe Restaurant Style - Paneer Recipes for Dinner

Paneer Kadai is the most popular dish in restaurant. In this recipe we will make Paneer Kadai restaurant style. Paneer Kadai consist of a special kadai masala which is prepared by roasting dried spices. The gravy of Paneer Kadai consists of tomato and onion paste with some traditional masalas.
Recipe:
Ingredients:
  • 250 Grams of Paneer
  • 2 Diced Onions
  • 2-3 Diced Capsicum (Shimla Mirch)
  • Paste of 2 Onions
  • Puree of 2 Tomatoes
  • ¼ Cup Cream (Malai)
  • 3-4 Lengthwise Chopped Green Chilies (Hari Mirch)
  • 2-3 Teaspoons Ginger Garlic (Adrak Lehsun) Paste
  • ½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
  • 1-1.5 Teaspoon Dhana Jeera Powder
  • 1.5-2 Teaspoon Red Chili (Lal Mirch) Powder
  • ½ Teaspoon Garam Masala
  • 1-1.5 Teaspoon Dried Fenugreek Leaves (Kasuri Methi)
  • 2 Teaspoons of Butter
  • Salt
  • Oil
For Kadai Masala:
  • 4-5 Dried Red Chilies (Sukhi Lal Mirch)
  • 1-2 Teaspoon Coriander Seeds (Sabut Dhania)
  • 8-10 Black Peppercorns (Sabut Kali Mirch)
  • 1-2 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
Procedure:
  1. First we will make the kadai masala. On a pan roast dried red chilies, coriander seeds, black peppercorns and cumin seeds. Once it is roasted well, let it cool down and then grind it coarsely.
  2. Heat some oil and add diced capsicum and diced onions. Shallow fry them well. Now add the previously prepared masala and stir well.
  3. Now in the same kadhai add ginger garlic paste and sauté it well. Add turmeric powder, dhana jeera powder, red chili powder and stir well.
  4. Add onion paste and fry it in oil. 
  5. Add tomato puree and cook it well.
  6. Add shallow fried capsicum and onion. Add paneer cubes, chopped green chilies and salt. Mix well.
  7. Add cream and butter. Mix well.
  8. Add garam masala and dried fenugreek leaves. Sit well and Paneer Kadai is ready.
