Recipe:
Ingredients:
- 2 Cups of Plain Flour (Malai)
- 1.5 Cup of Cream
- Milk
- Ghee
- 1 Cup Sugar
- 1 Cup of Water
- 1 Teaspoon Cardamom (Elaichi) Powder
- Juice of ½ Lemon
- Kesar
- In plain flour add cream and prepare the batter. You can add milk to get a little bit thick consistency.
- Now we will prepare the sugar syrup. In a pan add sugar and water. Let the sugar dissolve well and prepare 1 thread consistency syrup. Switch off the gas and cardamom powder, saffron and lemon juice. We have added lemon juice to avoid the syrup to solidify.
- Now on a tawa add some ghee and pour the malpua batter. Prepare round shaped and little bit thick malpua. Roast it well from both sides till they become brown.
- Dip the malpuas in sugar syrup and let it absorb the syrup. Our malpuas for Diwali are ready.
