Moong Dal Dosa Recipe - South Indian Dosa Recipe - Easy Dosas

Dosa is a popular South Indian recipe and today we will make an interesting dosa recipe from Moong Dal. This moong dal dosa is not only tasty but it is very healthy. We can soak the moong dal and rice overnight and prepare the dosa in the morning for lunch box. This dosa is best served with the traditional South Indian Red Dosa Chutney.   • 2 Cup Moong Dal
  • 2 Tablespoons of Rice
  • 4-5 Green Chillies (Hari Mirch)
  • 1 Inch Ginger (Adrak)
  • 1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
  • Salt
  • Ghee
  1. Soak moong dal and rice for 4-5 hours. 
  2. In a mixer cup add cumin seeds, ginger, green chilies, soaked moong dal-rice and salt. Grind it and prepare the batter for dosa. Add water if required to make a thick dosa batter.
  3. Heat a tawa and sprinkle some water. Wipe the water and then pour the batter and spread it evenly.
  4. Let the dosa cook well. Add some ghee on top and prepare the dosa. You can also use butter instead of ghee. Cook on medium to high flame. 
  5. Dosa is ready to eat.
