Palak Paneer Recipe - Restaurant Style Palak Paneer at Home - Gujarati Rasoi

In this recipe video we will see how to make Palak Paneer Restaurant Style. Palak Paneer is a popular and tasty paneer recipe that we often prepare at our home. But in this recipe we will see how to prepare this recipe in restaurant style. There are two important tips which elevates the taste of the recipe. The first tip is to add chopped spinach along with spinach puree and the second tip is to temper it with a tadka of red chilli and cumin seeds. Ingredients:
  • 250 Grams of Paneer Cubes
  • 250 Grams Spinach (Palak) Puree
  • 100-150 Grams of Spinach (Palak)
  • ½ Cup Cream (Malai)
  • 1 Finely Chopped Tomato
  • 1 Finely Chopped Onion
  • 1-1.5 Inch Finely Chopped Ginger (Adrak)
  • 8-10 Finely Chopped Garlic Cloves (Lehsun)
  • 1 Finely Chopped Green Chilli (Hari Mirch)
  • 2-3 Bay Leaves (Tej Patta)
  • 3-4 Cinnamon Sticks (Dalchini)
  • 4-5 Black Peppercorns (Sabut Kali Mirch)
  • 4-5 Cloves (Laung)
  • 1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
  • ½ Teaspoon Asafoetida (Hing)
  • ½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
  • 1-1.5 Teaspoon Dhana Jeera Powder
  • 1.5-2 Teaspoon Red Chilli (Lal Mirch) Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Dried Fenugreek Leaves  (Kasuri Methi)
  • Salt
  • Water
  • Ghee
For Tempering:
  • 2-3 Dried Red Chillies (Sukhi Lal Mirch)
  • 1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
  • Ghee
Procedure:
  1. Heat some ghee and add bay leaves, cinnamon sticks, black peppercorns, asafoetida, chopped green chillies, chopped garlic and chopped ginger. Sauté it well. Add chopped onion and stir till it turns transparent.
  2. Add chopped tomato and cook it well.
  3. Add cumin seeds and stir well.
  4. Now add turmeric powder, dhana jeera powder, red chilli powder, dried fenugreek leaves and stir well.
  5. Now add finely chopped spinach and salt. Stir and let the spinach settle down.
  6. Add spinach puree, cream and mix well.
  7. Add paneer cubes and the water used to boil the spinach. Mix well. Let it cook for 2-3 minutes.
  8. Prepare tempering by heating ghee in a small utensil and add dried red chillies and cumin seeds. Pour this tempering over the Palak Paneer and our yummy Palak Paneer is ready.
