Paneer Bhurji Recipe - Amritsari Paneer Bhurji - Paneer Nu Shaak Recipe

Ingredients:
  • 400 Grams Paneer
  • 2 Chopped Onions
  • 2 Sliced Tomatoes
  • 3 Tablespoons of Ghee
  • 3-4 Teaspoons of Butter
  • 2 Tablespoons of Gram Flour (Besan)
  • 1-1.5 Inch Lengthwise Chopped Ginger (Adrak)
  • 1 Lengthwise Chopped Green Chilli (Hari Mirch)
  • ½ Teaspoon of Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
  • 1-1.5 Teaspoon Red Chilli (Lal Mirch) Powder
  • 1-1.5 Dhana Jeera Powder
  • ¾ Teaspoon Dried Mango (Amchur) Powder
  • Salt
  • Water
  • Coriander Leaves (Dhania)
Procedure
  1. Melt ghee in a kadhai and add gram flour. Roast the flour well till a peculiar smell starts to come from the flour.
  2. Now add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, dhana jeera powder, dried mango powder and roast the masalas well.
  3. Add salt and water. Stir till a thick paste is formed. Take the paste in a bowl and keep aside.
  4. In a kadhai melt butter and add chopped ginger and chopped green chilli. Stir well.
  5. Add chopped onions and stir till it turns transparent.
  6. Add sliced tomatoes and once they become soft break them with the spatula. 
  7. Add the prepared paste and stir well. Add water as per requirement and mix well.
  8. Crumble the paneer in the masala and mix well. Add salt, stir and close lid to cook for 2-3 minutes.
  9. Garnish it with some coriander leaves and Paneer Bhurji is ready.
