South Indian Masala Dosa Recipe with Aloo Sabzi - Gujarati Rasoi

Dosa recipe is a very popular South Indian recipe. Today we will show you dosa banavani rit in gujarati. In this recipe we have shown masala dosa recipe in which we have prepared traditional South Indian batata nu shaak for the masala. In this masala dosa recipe we have used butter to make the dosa for tasty, you can also use ghee or oil. Recipe:
Ingredients:
  • Dosa Batter
  • 5-7 Boiled & Mashed Potatoes (Aloo)
  • 1 Sliced Onion
  • 4-5 Finely Chopped Green Chilli (Hari Mirch)
  • ½ Inch Finely Chopped Ginger (Adrak)
  • 8-10 Curry Leaves (Kadi Patta)
  • 2-3 Dried Red Chillies (Lal Mirch)
  • 1 Teaspoon Mustard Seeds (Rai)
  • 1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
  • ½ Teaspoon Asafoetida (Hing)
  • 1 Teaspoon Urad Dal
  • 1 Teaspoon Chana Dal
  • ½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
  • Juice of 1 Lemon
  • 1 Teaspoon Sugar
  • Salt
  • Oil
  • Butter
Procedure:
  1. Heat some oil and add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, asafoetida, urad dal and chana dal. Sauté it well.
  2. Add curry leaves, dried red chillies, chopped ginger and chopped green chillies. Stir well.
  3. Add sliced onion and stir till it turns transparent.
  4. Add turmeric powder and mix well.
  5. Add boiled and mashed potatoes and mix well.
  6. Add lemon juice, sugar and salt. Mix well. Close lid and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Add some coriander leaves and our stuffing is ready.
  8. In dosa batter add salt and mix well.
  9. On a hot tawa add some butter and wipe it. Sprinkle some water and wipe it. Now pour the batter and prepare the dosa. Let the dosa cook on medium gas.
  10. Apply some butter on top and cook till the dosa becomes crispy and brown.
  11. Add the masala on the dosa and fold the dosa. Masala dosa is ready. Serve it with sambar and chutney.
