  • 250 Grams of Lemons (Nimbu)
  • ½ Cup Powdered Sugar
  • ½ Teaspoon Asafoetida (Hing)
  • ¾ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
  • 1.5 Teaspoon Red Chili (Lal Mirch) Powder
  • Salt
  • Water
  • Oil
  1. Wash the lemons and cut them into four pieces and remove the seeds.
  2. Now in an utensil add these lemons and add some water. Let lemons boil for 10-12 minutes.
  3. Check whether the lemons have become salt.
  4. Now strain the water out of the lemons and then keep them on a cloth to dry.
  5. In the dried lemons add turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt and powdered sugar.
  6. Mix the ingredients well.
  7. Heat some oil in a small utensil used for tadka and add ½ teaspoon asafoetida.
  8. Switch off the gas and let the oil become lukewarm and then add it to the lemons. Mix well.
  9. Lemon pickle is ready. You can store this pickle in air tight container.
  10. It is advised to store it in refrigerator.
