Kachi Keri Nu Shaak - A Traditional Gujarati Mango Sabzi - Gujarati Rasoi

Keri Nu Shaak is an excellent recipe to welcome the summer season and the king of fruits Mango. Mango recipes not only consist of dessert recipe or a sweet recipe but also consist of shaak recipes. This Gujarati shaak recipe is a very traditional recipe which is often prepared in every Gujarati home during the summer season. This Keri Nu Shaak recipe can be an excellent accompaniment with traditional Gujarati Khichdi. 
  • 750 Grams Peeled & Diced Raw Mango
  • ½ -  ¾ Cup Jaggery
  • 3-4 Dried Red Chillies
  • 1 Teaspoon Chopped Curry Leaves
  • 1 Teaspoon Kasuri Methi
  • 1 Teaspoon Mustard Seeds
  • 1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • Pinch of Hing
  • ½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 2 Teaspoon Dhana Jeera Powder
  • 2-2.5 Teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
  • Salt
  • Water
  • Oil
  1. Heat some oil and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, hing, dried red chillies, chopped curry leaves, kasuri methi and turmeric powder.
  2. Stir well and then add raw mango.
  3. Add dhana jeera powder, red chilli powder and salt as per taste. Add jaggery and stir till it melts.
  4. Add water as per requirement. Close lid and let it cook for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add coriander leaves and recipe is ready to eat.
