  • Wheat Dough
  • 5-6 Boiled & Mashed Potatoes
  • 2 Finely Chopped Onions
  • 2 Teaspoon Green Chilli (Hari Mirch) Paste
  • 1 Teaspoon Mustard Seeds (Rai)
  • ¼ Teaspoon Asafoetida (Hing)
  • ½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
  • Juice of 1 Lemon
  • 1 Teaspoon Sugar
  • 1-1.5 Teaspoon Dried Fenugreek (Kasuri Methi)
  • Salt
  • Oil
  • Ghee
Procedure: 
  1. Heat oil and add mustard seeds, asafoetida and finely chopped onions. Stir till the onions turn golden brown. 
  2. Add turmeric powder, green chilli paste and stir well.
  3. Add boiled and mashed potatoes. Mix well. 
  4. Add salt, lemon juice and sugar. Mix well. 
  5. Add dried fenugreek and mix well.
  6. Our stuffing is ready.
  7. Now prepare wheat dough for parathas similar to what we prepare for rotis.
  8. Take a portion of the dough, flatten it and dip it in wheat flour. 
  9. Roll it into a small roti, add the stuffing and close the ends. 
  10. Now roll a paratha out of it. 
  11. Heat tawa and roast the paratha. Apply ghee to both sides while roasting it. 
  12. Aloo Paratha is ready, serve it with ghee and achar.
