Tilgul or Til Ke Ladoo is a traditional recipe prepared on the occasion of Uttrayan or Makar Sankrant. This ladoo recipe is prepared with a mixture of roasted til (sesame seeds) and jaggery. Sesame Seeds have significance on the day of Makar Sankrant and hence the preparation of Sesame Seeds ladoo is prepared on this occasion. We would like to wish you a Happy Makar Sankrant and would urge you to try out our Uttrayan special recipe. Recipe: Ingredients –
  • ¾ Cup Roasted Sesame Seeds
  • ¾ Cup Jaggery
  • ½ Cup Roasted Peanuts
  • Ghee
Method –
  1. Heat some ghee and add the jaggery to melt in the pan.
  2. When the jaggery melts, put some drops in cold water and if it forms a solid ball, the jaggery is melted properly.
  3. Now add roasted peanuts and roasted sesame seeds to the mixture.
  4. Stir till the mixture thickens.
  5. Now apply some water to your palms and mould ladoos out of the mixture.
  6. Let the ladoos cool.
  7. Tal Na Ladoos are ready for Makar Sankrant.
