Sevai No Upma | Upma Recipe | Gujarati Rasoi

In this recipe we will make a different upma recipe in gujarati. This upma banavani rit is very simple and quick and can be an excellent upma breakfast recipe. This upma is prepared using vermicelli or sevai with some traditional and light spices. This recipe is very light but at the same time filling for a breakfast.   • 50 Grams Sevai (Vermicelli)
  • 1 Finely Chopped Onion
  • 1 Teaspoon Mustard Seeds (Rai)
  • 4-5 Chopped Green Chillies (Hari Mirch)
  • 10-12 Curry Leaves (Kadi Patta)
  • Juice of ½ Lemon
  • Coriander Leaves (Dhania)
  • Salt
  • Warm Water
Procedure:
  1. Heat oil and add mustard seeds, curry leaves and chopped green chillies. Stir well.
  2. Add finely chopped onion stir till it turns transparent.
  3. Add sevai and fry them till they turn golden brown.
  4. Add some warm water, salt and lemon juice. Stir well.
  5. Close lid and cook for 2-3 minutes on low flame.
  6. Open and give it a stir.
  7. Add some coriander leaves and Sevai No Upma is ready to eat.
