Bhakri is the common Gujarati bread which is often eaten with traditional Gujarati vegetables or even with a cup of tea. This Gujarati breakfast recipe is very popular in Gujarat. A variant to the Guajrati Bhakri is Tikhi Bhakri which has some traditional Gujarati spices and condiments which provide a nice taste to the Bhakri.

Ingredients:
- 3 Cups of Wheat Flour (Gehun Ka Atta)
- ½ Teaspoon Turmeric (Haldi) Powder
- 1 Teaspoon Red Chilli (Lal Mirch) Powder
- ½ Teaspoon Roasted Cumin Seed (Jeera) Powder
- 1-1.5 Teaspoon Dhana Jeera Powder
- Teaspoon Carom Seeds (Ajwain)
- Salt
- Oil
- In wheat flour, add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, dhana jeera powder and roasted cumin seed powder.
- Crush the carom seeds in the mixture for a better taste.
- Add around 2-3 teaspoons of oil and salt as per taste.
- Mix the ingredients well.
- Add water and knead a firm dough. Let it rest for 10-15 minutes.
- Roll out bhakris out of the dough.
- Roast the bhakri on the pan with the help of some oil.
- Gujarati Bhakri is ready to eat.
