Sitafal Basundi | Gujarati Basundi Recipe | Gujarati Sweet | Gujarati Rasoi

Basundi is popular Gujarati sweet dish. In this recipe we reduce milk and serve it with some dry fruits. In our Sitafal Basundi recipe we have added Custard Apple (Sitafal) to give it nice taste and texture of the fruit. This recipe though takes time to make but by some small tips you can prepare this Gujarati sweet quickly. Recipe: Ingredients:
  • 2 Custard Apples (Sitafal)
  • 1.5 Litres of Milk
  • 10 Teaspoons Sugar
  • ½ Teaspoon Cardamom (Elaichi) Powder
  • Chopped Almonds (Badam)
  • Chopped Pistachios (Pista)
Procedure:
  1. Deseed the custard apples and remove the pieces in a bowl.
  2. Reduce milk to half.
  3. After milk is thicken, add cardamom powder and sugar.
  4. Dissolve the sugar well.
  5. Switch off the gas and add the custard apple pieces.
  6. Mix well and serve it cold.
  7. Garnish it with chopped almonds and pistachios.
  8. Sitaphal Basundi is ready.
