  • 150-200 Grams Finely Chopped Spinach (Palak)
  • 2 Cups Gram Flour (Besan)
  • 1 Teaspoon Carom Seeds (Ajwain)
  • ½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
  • 1 Teaspoon Red Chilli (Lal Mirch) Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Dhana Jeera Powder
  • Salt
  • Water
  • Oil
For Curd (Dahi) Mixture:
  • 2 Cups of Curd (Dahi)
  • ½ Cup Gram Flour (Besan)
  • ½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
  • 1 Teaspoon Red Chilli (Lal Mirch) Powder
  • Salt
  • Water
For Cooking Kadhi:
  • 1 Sliced Onion
  • 4-5 Black Peppers (Sabut Kali Mirch)
  • 4-5 Cloves (Laung)
  • 2-3 Dried Red Chillies (Sukhi Lal Mirch)
  • 1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
  • ¾ Teaspoon Fenugreek Seeds (Methi Ke Daane)
  • ½ Teaspoon Asafoetida (Hing)
  • 2-3 Finely Chopped Green Chillies (Hari Mirch)
  • 1 Inch Finely Chopped Ginger (Adrak)
  • 5-6 Finely Chopped Garlic Cloves (Lehsun)
  • ½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
  • Salt
  • Water
  • Ghee
Procedure:
  1. For the pakoras take some gram flour, add turmeric powder, dhana jeera powder, red chilli powder, carom seeds, salt and finely chopped spinach.
  2. Add water and make the batter for the pakoras.
  3. Deep fry the pakoras in oil till they turn golden brown.
  4. Now for the kadhi, take some curd and whisk it well.
  5. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, gram flour and salt. Whisk well.
  6. Add water as per requirement and stir well.
  7. Now heat some ghee and add cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds, asafoetida, cloves, black pepper, dried red chillies and stir well.
  8. Now add finely chopped green chillies, finely chopped ginger, finely chopped garlic and stir well.
  9. Add sliced onion and stir till it turns transparent.
  10. Now add turmeric powder and stir.
  11. Add the curd mixture and stir well
  12. Add salt as per taste and water as per requirement.
  13. Stir till it starts to boil.
  14. Serve the kadhi and dip the pakodas in it.
  15. Punjabi Kadhi Pakora is ready.
