Vaal Nu Shaak is a traditional and an old Gujarati recipe. This is a nutritious and a tasty recipe. This recipe is often prepared in Gujarati Wedding Functions.

Ingredients:
- 250 Grams Boiled Butter Beans (Vaal)
- 1 Tablespoon Gram Flour (Besan)
- 1 Teaspoon Carom Seeds (Ajwain)
- ½ Teaspoon Asafoetida (Hing)
- ½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
- 1-1½ Teaspoon Dhana Jeera Powder
- 1½ -2 Teaspoon Red Chilli (Lal Mirch) Powder
- 1-1.5 Kitchen King Masala
- 2-3 Teaspoons Tamarind Water
- 1 Teaspoon Jaggery (Gud)
- Coriander Leaves (Dhania)
- Salt
- Oil
- Water
- Heat oil and add carom seeds, asafoetida, gram flour and fry well.
- Add turmeric powder, dhana jeera powder, red chilli powder and mix well.
- Add butter beans (vaal) & stir well.
- Add water used to boil vaal and stir well.
- Add tamarind water, jaggery, salt and kitchen king masala.
- Close lid and cook for 3-5 minutes.
- Add some coriander leaves and mix well. Vaal Nu Shaak is ready to eat.
