In this Rajkot Special Pav Bhaji recipe we have used Ratlami Sev. Ratlami Sev is a popular farsan of Gujarat and has a nice spicy taste which gives our Pav Bhaji recipe and exciting flavour. So try out this unique combination of Pav Bhaji & Ratlami Sev. Recipe: Ingredients:
  • Ratlami Sev
  • Buttermilk
  • 3 Finely Chopped Onions
  • 2 Finely Chopped Capsicum (Shimla Mirch)
  • 2 Finely Chopped Tomatoes
  • 2-3 Boiled Potatoes
  • Puree of 2 Tomatoes
  • 1.5-2 Teaspoons Ginger-Garlic (Adrak-Lehsun) Paste
  • ½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
  • 1-1.5 Teaspoon Dhana Jeera Powder
  • 1.5-2 Teaspoon Red Chilli (Lal Mirch) Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Garam Masala
  • 1-1.5 Teaspoon Pav Bhaji Masala
  • Coriander Leaves (Dhania)
  • Salt
  • 2-3 Teaspoons of Butter
  • Water
Procedure:
  1. In a pan melt butter, add chopped onions and stir till it turns golden brown.
  2. Now, add finely chopped capsicum, finely chopped tomato and mix well.
  3. Add boiled potatoes and mash them well.
  4. Now add ginger garlic paste and tomato puree. Cook it well.
  5. Add turmeric powder, dhana jeera powder, red chilli powder, garam masala, pav bhaji masala and salt. Mix well.
  6. Now in ratlami sev, add 1 teaspoon of red chilli powder and buttermilk. Add buttermilk so that the sev is completely soaked in it. Mix well.
  7. Add this sev mixture to the bhaji and mix well.
  8. Add some coriander leaves.
  9. Ratlami Pav Bhaji is ready serve it with pav, onions and a slice of lemon.
