Tameta Bataka Nu Shaak is a popular Gujarati recipe which is often prepared for lunch. This recipe is also enjoyed with Khichdi. This traditional Gujarati recipe consists of tomato and potatoes cooked in traditional spices.

- 4 Boiled & Diced Potatoes
- 3 Diced Tomatoes
- 1 Teaspoon Mustard Seeds (Rai)
- ½ Teaspoon Asafoetida (Hing)
- 10-12 Curry Leaves (Kadi Patta)
- ½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
- 1.5 Teaspoon Dhana Jeera Powder
- 1.5 Teaspoon Red Chilli Powder (Lal Mirch)
- 1 Teaspoon Dal Shaak No Masalo
- 1 Teaspoon Sugar
- Coriander Leaves (Dhania)
- Salt
- Oil
- Heat oil and add mustard seeds, asafoetida, curry leaves and sauté it.
- Add boiled & diced potatoes to it and stir well. Cook for 2 minutes.
- Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, dhana jeera powder and dal shaak masala. Mix the masalas well.
- Add the tomatoes and salt and mix well.
- Close lid and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Add sugar and water. Mix well. Close lid and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Garnish with coriander leaves and Tameta Bataka Nu Shaak is ready to serve.
