Shakar Para is a traditional delicacy prepared on the eve of Diwali. A quick and simple recipe, Shakarpara are made up of minimum ingredients but have the maximum taste. Gujarati Rasoi presents you an online Indian snack recipe for you and your family. Recipe: Ingredients-
  • 250 Grams of Refined Flour (Maida)
  • Clarified Butter (Ghee)
  • 1 Cup of Powdered Sugar
  • Salt
  • Warm Water
Method-
  1. Take 250 grams of maida (refined flour), add 1 cup of powdered sugar, salt as per taste and 4-5 teaspoons of ghee.
  2. Mix the ingredients well.
  3. Add warm water and knead the dough as shown in the video.
  4. Now, take a portion of the dough and apply clarified butter (ghee) over it and roll it flat using a rolling pin.
  5. Now using cutter cut diamond shapes as shown in the video.
  6. Deep fry these pieces in ghee until they turn golden brown.
  7. Shakarpara are ready.
