Sekeli Dungri Nu Shaak | Dungli Nu Shaak | Gujarati Rasoi

Sekeli Dungdi Nu Shaak is a traditional Village Food recipe which prepared using roasted spring onions. This Village Style recipe is often prepared in the villages of Gujarat and is a part of Kathyawadi cuisine. This recipe consists of minimum ingredients and is a quick recipe to prepares. So do try out the real village food recipe of Gujarat which is often prepared by our grandmothers. Recipe: Ingredients:
  • Spring Onions
  • 1 Cup of Curd (Dahi)
  • 1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
  • ½ Teaspoon Asafoetida (Hing)
  • ½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
  • 1-2 Teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
  • 1-1.5 Teaspoon Dhana Jeera Powder
  • Spring Onion Greens
  • Salt
  • Oil
Procedure:
  1. Roast spring onions on a gas and remove the burnt skin of the onions.
  2. Heat oil and add cumin seeds, asafoetida, turmeric powder and stir well.
  3. Add the onions and give it a stir. Close lid and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add dhana jeera powder, red chilli powder and salt. Mix well.
  5. Add whisked curd and mix well.
  6. Garnish it with green part of spring onions and Sekeli Dungdi Nu Shaak is ready to eat.
