Khajur Amli Ni Chatni | Khajur Imli Chuteny For Chaat Recipes | Gujarati Rasoi

Khajur imli ni chutney is often used in chaat recipes and also in Gujarati recipes like Dabeli, Bhel, Bhungla Bataka, etc. This chutney can be stored for a longer duration in fridge. The main ingredients of this chutney are dates and tamarind. Along with these ingredients some spices are also added to give it a nice chatapata taste. Recipe: Ingredients:
  • 50 Grams Seedless Dates (Khajur)
  • 25 Grams Tamarind (Imli)
  • 2 Teaspoons of Jaggery (Gud)
  • ½ Teaspoon Red Chilli (Lal Mirch) Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Dhana Jeera Powder
  • ½ Teaspoon Roasted Cumin Seed (Jeera) Powder
  • Salt
  • Water
Procedure:
  1. In a pressure cooker add seedless dates, tamarind and jaggery. Add some water and cook for 3-4 whistles.
  2. Once the mixture is cooled, grind it in a mixer. Strain the mixture.
  3. Add red chilli powder, roasted cumin seed powder, dhana jeera powder and salt.
  4. Mix well and Khajur Imli Chutney is ready.
