Kand Petis Recipe | Farali Petis Recipe | Gujarati Rasoi

Farali Petis is a popular delicacy prepared for Upvas or Vrat. In this Navratri festival to enjoy with the tune of Navratri songs we have brought the recipe of Farali Petis. This Farali Petis is prepared from Kand or Pruple Yam and has a stuffing made from green chilli, peanut and coconut. Kand Petis recipe is very tasty recipe and can be a good starter recipe for Navratri. Recipe: Ingredients: For Covering:
  • 500 Grams Purple Yam (Kand)
  • 2 Tablespoons of Rajgira Flour
  • Salt
For Stuffing:
  • ½ Cup of Grinded Coconut (Nariyal)
  • ½ Cup of Grinded Roasted Peanut (Singdana)
  • 2-2.5 Teaspoons of Green Chilli (Hari Mirch) Paste
  • Juice of 1 Lemon
  • ½ Teaspoon Sugar
  • Coriander Leaves (Dhania)
  • Salt
Procedure:
  1. For the stuffing take grinded coconut, grinded roasted peanuts, green chilli paste, lemon jucie, sugar, salt and coriander leaves.
  2. Mix well and make the stuffing.
  3. For the covering boil, peel and mash purple yam.
  4. Add rajgira flour, salt and mix the ingredients well.
  5. Now take some Yam mixture and shape it into a small cup and add the stuffing in it.
  6. Close the ends and make pattice out of it.
  7. Shallow fry the petis till golden brown from both sides.
  8. Farali Petis are ready to eat.
