Farali Khichu | Farali Recipes | Gujarati Rasoi

Khichu is enjoyed by everyone and this street food is famous on the streets of Vadodara. Vadodara is also famous for Garba organized by United Way Garba. So in this season of Garba and in the holy festival of Navratri we would like to present Farali Khichu recipe. This recipe is quick to make and is a tasty Vrat recipe. Recipe: Ingredients:
  • 1 Cup of Moraiyo Flour (Sama Ke Chawal Ka Atta)
  • 3 Cups of Water
  • ½ Teaspoon Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
  • 2-3 Crushed Green Chillies (Hari Mirch)
  • ½ Teaspoon Soda
  • 1 Teaspoon Oil
  • Salt
  • Farali Singdana Chutney
Procedure:
  1. Heat 3 cups of wate and add cumin seeds, crushed green chillies, soda, salt and oil.
  2. Let the water boil.
  3. Now add moraiyo flour and stir till it thickens.
  4. Close lid and cook for 5-7 minutes.
  5. Serve the Khichu in a plate and add oil, some farali singdana chutney and fried green chilli.
  6. Farali Khichu is ready.
