Farali Dhokla | Gujarati Dhokla Recipe | Gujarati Rasoi

Dhokla is a popular Gujarati Farsan recipe. We have various Dhokla preparations like Vaati Dal Na Khaman, Idada, Sev Khamani, Makai Na Dhokla, etc. In this season of Garba and festival of Navratri we would like to bring Farali Dhokla recipe. This dhokla is prepared using Moraiyo and has some traditional spices. So do try out this Farali Navratri Recipe and let us know about the taste in the comment box. Recipe: Ingredients:
  • 1 Cup Grinded Moraiyo (Sama Ke Chawal)
  • ½ Cup of Curd (Dahi)
  • 1-1.5 Teaspoon Green Chilli (Hari Mirch) Paste
  • ½ Teaspoon Soda
  • Salt
  • Water
For Tadka:
  • 1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
  • 10-12 Curry Leaves (Kadi Patta)
  • 4-5 Lengthwise Chopped Green Chillies (Hari Mirch)
  • Oil
Procedure:
  1. In grinded moraiyo add some curd & mix well.
  2. Add some water and make a thick bater.
  3. Let it rest for 15 minutes.
  4. Now add soda, green chilli paste, salt & mix well.
  5. In a cooker, take some water and on a stand place a greased utensil.
  6. Pour the batter in the utensil and spread it evenly.
  7. Pressure cook for 20 minutes without whistle.
  8. Once the dhokla is cooked, let it cool down and then cut it into pieces.
  9. For tadka, heat some oil, add cumin seeds, green chillies and curry leaves.
  10. Pour this tadka over the dhokla and farali dhokla is ready to eat.
