Tomato Pudla | Gujarati Pudla Recipe | Gujarati Rasoi

Pudla is a traditional Gujarati recipe which is prepared from gram flour. Pudla can be considered as Gujarati pancakes with a spicy taste. This quick recipe can be prepared instead of usual vegetables. So do try out this recipe and let us know about the taste in the comment box. Recipe:
Ingredients:
  • 2 Cups of Gram Flour
  • 2 Small finely chopped Onions
  • 2 Small finely chopped Tomatoes
  • 2 Finely chopped Green Chillies
  • 1 Cup of Yogurt
  • ¼ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1 ½ Teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
  • Coriander Leaves
  • Salt
  • Water
Procedure:
  1. Take 2 cups of gram flour. 
  2. Add chopped onions, tomatoes and green chillies.
  3. Add ¼ teaspoon of turmeric powder, 1 ½ teaspoon of red chilli powder and salt as per taste.
  4. Add a cup of yogurt and mix all the ingredients.
  5. Now add water to get a batter type consistency as shown in the video.
  6. Heat some oil on a flat pan. Once the oil is heated pour the batter and spread evenly and ensure that the layer is not too thin that it sticks to the pan nor too thick that it is under cooked.
  7. When the lower side is done, turn the omelette and cook the other side.
  8. When done, serve the pudla with green chutney.
