Tawa Veg Pulao is a popular street food of Mumbai. In this recipe rice sautéed in Pav Bhaji masala to give it a Bombay Pav Bhaji taste.   • 2 Cups of Cooked Basmati Rice
  • 1 Sliced Onion
  • 150 Grams Green Peas (Matar)
  • 1 Boiled & Diced Potato
  • 1 Lengthwise Chopped Tomato
  • 1 Lengthwise Chopped Capsicum
  • 1-1.5 Teaspoon Ginger-Garlic (Adrak Lehsun) Paste
  • 1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • ½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
  • 1 Teaspoon Red Chilli (Lal Mirch) Powder
  • 1-1.5 Teaspoon Garlic Chutney
  • 1 Teaspoon Pav Bhaji Masala
  • Juice of 1 Lemon
  • 2 Teaspoons of Butter
  • Coriander Leaves (Dhania)
  • Salt
Procedure:
  1. Melt butter in a pan and then add cumin seeds and let it crackle.
  2. Add sliced onion and stir till it turns transparent.
  3. Add ginger garlic paste and sauté it well.
  4. Add chopped tomato and capsicum. Sauté it well.
  5. Add boiled and diced potato and green peas.
  6. Cook all the vegetables well.
  7. Then add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, pav bhaji masala, garlic chutney and salt. Mix well.
  8. Add cooked rice and stir well.
  9. Add lemon juice and mix well.
  10. Garnish with coriander leaves.
  11. Bombay Tawa Veg Pulao is ready.
