Tameta Ni Chatni | Tomato Chutney | Gujarati Rasoi

Tomato Chutney or Tomato Ni Chatni is an excellent everyday recipe that you should try at home. This recipe consists of minimum ingredients and is prepared within minutes. The recipe consists of tomatoes cooked in tadka of curry leaves, garlic and mustard seeds. Along with tomatoes we have also added some onions to give it a nice taste.   • 10 Chopped Tomatoes
  • 5 Finely Chopped Onions
  • 5-6 Chopped Garlic Cloves
  • 10-12 Curry Leaves
  • 1 Teaspoon Mustard Seeds
  • ½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 2 Teaspoons Dhana Jeera Powder
  • 2 Teaspoons Red Chilli Powder
  • Coriander Leaves
  • Salt
Procedure:
  1. Heat some oil and add mustard seeds, garlic and curry leaves. Stir till garlic becomes golden brown.
  2. Add chopped onions and stir them till golden brown.
  3. Add turmeric powder, coriander-cumin seed powder and red chilli powder. Mix well.
  4. Add the tomatoes and mix well.
  5. Add salt to taste and sugar.
  6. Mix and let it cook for 10 minutes.
  7. 7. Now add some coriander leaves and tameta chutney is ready to eat.
