Parvar Batataka Nu Shaak is a traditional Gujarati Shaak recipe. The parval or Pointed Gourd is cooked in red chilli and dhana jeera powder and is topped with some Kitchen King Masala which provides a different taste to the recipe.   • 300 Grams Pointed Gourd (Parwal)
  • 3 Julienned Potatoes
  • 1 Teaspoon Mustard Seeds
  • 1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • ½ Teaspoon Asafoetida (Hing)
  • ½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 2 Teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
  • 2 Teaspoon Dhana Jeera Powder
  • 1.5 Teaspoon Kitchen King Masala
  • 1 Teaspoon Sugar
  • Salt
Method –
  1. Heat oil and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and hing.
  2. Add julienned potatoes and stir it for a while in the oil.
  3. Add parwal and stir well.
  4. Close lid and let it cook for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Now add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, dhana jeera powder and salt.
  6. Close lid and let it cook for 3-5 mniutes.
  7. Open lid and add kitchen king masala and sugar.
  8. Stir well and mix all the ingredients.
  9. Parval Bataka Nu Shaak is ready to eat.
