For Marinade:
- 250 Grams Cubed Paneer
- ¾ Cup of Curd (Dahi)
- 2 Teaspoons Ginger-Garlic (Adrak-Lehsun) Paste
- ½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
- 1-1.5 Teaspoon Red Chilli (Lal Mirch) Powder
- 1 Teaspoon Chaat Masala
- Juice of ½ Lemon
- 1-2 Teaspoons of Oil
- Salt
- 2 Roughly Chopped Onions
- 2 Roughly Chopped Tomatoes
- 2 Green Chillies (Hari Mirch)
- 5-6 Garlic Cloves (Lehsun)
- 1-1.5 Inch of Chopped Ginger (Adrak)
- 10-12 Chopped Cashew Nut (Kaju)
- ½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
- 1.5-2 Teaspoon Red Chilli Powder (Lal Mirch)
- 1 Teaspoon Garam Masala
- 2 Teaspoons Dhana Jeera Powder
- Dried Fenugreek leaves (Kasuri Methi)
- Salt

- To prepare the marinade for the paneer, in a mixing bowl, add curd, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, chaat masala, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, salt, oil and mix well.
- Now add the paneer cubes and mix well. Marinate for 15-20 minutes.
- Shallow fry the marinated paneer pieces well.
- Heat some oil in a pan and add roughly chopped onions. Stir till it turns transparent.
- Add roughly chopped tomatoes, garlic cloves, ginger, green chillies, cashews and salt.
- Sauté them well. Cool the mixture and make a paste.
- In a kadhai heat some oil and add the paste. Fry it well.
- Close lid and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Now add turmeric powder, red chillipowder, dhana jeera powder and garam masala. Mix well.
- Add the shallow fried paneer cubes and mix well. Add the remaining marinade and mix well.
- Add salt as per requirement, water and mix well.
- Add some dried fenugreek leaves and close lid to cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Restaurant Style Paneer Tikka Masala is ready.
