Panchmel Dal | Dal Recipe | Gujarati Rasoi

  • ½ Cup Chana Dala
  • ½ Cup Tur Dal
  • ¼ Cup Mung Dal
  • ¼ Cup Masoor Dal
  • ¼ Cup Urad Dal
  • ½ Teaspoon Hing
  • 1 Chopped Tomato
  • 4-5 Chopped Green Chillies
  • 1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds
  • ½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1.5 Teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
  • 2 Teaspoon Dhana Jeera Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Garam Masala
  • 2 Teaspoon Ghee
  • 2 Teaspoon Oil
  • Coriander Leaves
Procedure:
  1. In a cooker add chana dala, tur dal, moong dal, masoor dal and urad dal.
  2. Add salt and water and cook for 4-5 whistles.
  3. Heat ghee and add oil to it.
  4. Add hing, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, garam masala, dhana jeera and red chilli powder.
  5. Stir well and then add the boiled dal into it.
  6. Add water as per requirement.
  7. Add salt and let it come to a boil.
  8. Add chopped tomato and split green chillies.
  9. Add some coriander leaves and cook for 2 minutes.
  10. Panchmel Dal is ready to eat.
