A rainy season special delicacy, Moog Dal Bhajiya is a crisp fritters with a hint of ajwain (Carom seeds) and green chillies enjoyed with spicy and tasty Chatpati Coriander Chutney. These pakoras or bahiyas would certainly make a tasty recipe for your loved ones.
Recipe:-
Ingredients-
- 250 grams Mung Lentils (Moong Dal)
- 5-6 Green Chillies
- 1 inch ginger
- 1 Teaspoon Coriander Seeds
- ½ Teaspoon Carom Seeds (Ajwain)
- ½ Teaspoon Cumin Seeds (Ginger)
- 5-6 Peppercorns (Sabut Kali Mirch)
- ¼ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
- Pinch of Asafoetida (Hing)
- In a mixer jar, take 5-6 green chillies, Ginger, Coriander Seeds, Carom Seeds, Cumin Seeds, Peppercorns, turmeric powder and a pinch of asafoetida.
- Add 3-4 hours soaked Moong Dal (Mung Lentils) to the mixture and add salt as per taste.
- Make a thick batter of it in a food processor and get the consistency as shown in the video.
- Now take oil for deep frying the Pakoras or Bhajiyas and add a spoon of batter to it.
- Fry the bhajiyas from all sides well and when they turn golden brown take them out.
- And serve with Chatpati Green Chutney.
