Gujarati Kadhi | Kadhi Recipe | Gujarati Rasoi

  • 500 Grams of Yogurt
  • 1 Tablespoon Gram Flour (Besan)
  • Curry Leaves
  • ½ Inch Ginger
  • 8- 10 Green Chilies
  • ½ Cup of Coriander Leaves
  • Cumin Seeds
  • Fenugreek Seeds
  • Cloves
  • Cinnamon Sticks
  • ¾ Teaspoon Sugar
  • Salt
  • Water
  • Oil
  1. Whisk the yogurt well.
  2. Add gram flour, sugar, salt and around 4-5 cups of water and whisk the mixture well.
  3. Now make a paste of 8-10 green chilies, ½ inch ginger, 10-15 curry leaves and 1 teaspoon cumin seeds.
  4. Now heat some oil and add 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds.
  5. Add 1 teaspoon of fenugreek seeds, 3 cloves, 2 cinnamon sticks and 10-15 curry leaves.
  6. Stir the ingredients well.
  7. Now add previously made green paste and mix well.
  8. Now add the previously made curd mixture and stir well.
  9. Add salt to taste and let the mixture come to a boil.
  10. Add around ½ cup of coriander leaves and gujarati kadhi is ready to relish.
