Dungri Ni Chutney | Onion Chutney Recipe | Gujarati Rasoi

Onion Chutney or better known as Dungri Ni Chatni is a traditional recipe made from onions cooked with green chilies and peanuts. The peanuts add the traditional touch to the recipe and the green chilies spice up the recipe. Along with green chilies and peanuts, Pyaz ki Chatni also consists of day to day masalas like dhana jeera powder, red chili powder and turmeric. Do try out this recipe and comment about it. Recipe: Ingredients –
  • 10-20 Chopped Onions
  • 3 Teaspoon Peanut Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Chopped Green Chilies
  • ½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
  • 2 Teaspoon Dhana Jeera Powder
  • 3 Teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • Oil
Method –
  1. Heat oil ad and the onions.
  2. Add salt as per taste and cook till the onions turn golden brown.
  3. Add turmeric powder (haldi), dhana jeera powder, red chili powder and mix the masala well.
  4. Add the green chilies and the peanut powder.
  5. Cook for 4-5 minutes.
  6. Add some coriander leaves and Dungri Ni Chatni or Pyaz ki Chatni is ready. Enjoy Onion Chutney with Chapati.
