Sukhdi | Gujarati Sweet Recipe | Gujarati Rasoi

Sukhdi is an all time favourite recipe of Gujaratis and is enjoyed by everyone irrespective of their age. Sukhdi is prepared using jaggery or gud and thus can be enjoyed even by people having Diabetes. Thus this recipe is Diabetes special recipe. Sukhdi is prepared using wheat flour, ghee and jaggery, all of which are very nutritious for young children and growing teenagers. This Gujarati sweet recipe is not only tasty but it is also a sugarless sweet recipe and hence a healthy recipe. Recipe: Ingredients –
  • ¾ Cup Ghee
  • 1 Cup Wheat Flour
  • ¾ Cup Jaggery
Method –
  1. Heat ghee and add the wheat flour.
  2. Stir the flour continuously and roast it well.
  3. Roast it till it changes colour to golden brown.
  4. Now switch off the gas and let the mixture become lukewarm.
  5. Add jaggery and stir till it melts.
  6. Grease a plate with ghee.
  7. Now pour this mixture when it is hot in the plate and spread it evenly.
  8. Cut diamond shaped sukhdi while the mixture is warm.
  9. Add some chopped almonds and chopped cashews.
  10. Let the sukhdi cool and then remove it in a plate.
