Methi Muthia is a popular Gujarati snacks recipe which you would easily find in a Gujarati Wedding. Methi Na Muthia is an easy recipe consisting of methi, besan and wheat flour. These muthias are deep fried in oil to give a golden brown colour and a crispy texture. This methi muthia are popularly used in the traditional Gujarati Undhiyu recipe which consists of winter vegetables prepared in traditional Gujarati masala. Methi Muthias are prominently prepared for the Undhiyu recipe which is a must for a Gujarati Wedding.   • 2 Cup Finely Chopped Methi
  • 1 Cup Gram Flour
  • 2 Cups Wheat Flour
  • 2 Teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 8-10 Crushed Green Chillies
  • 1 ½ Teaspoon Sesame Seeds
  • ½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • Juice of a Lemon
  • 1 Teaspoon Sugar
  • Salt
  • Oil
Method –
  1. In a mixing bowl mix the gram flour, wheat flour, fenugreek (methi), ginger-garlic paste, crushed green chilli, sesame seeds, turmeric powder, lemon juice, sugar and salt.
  2. Add 2-3 teaspoons of oil to bind the ingredients and make the muthias crispy.
  3. Add some water and prepare the dough for muthias.
  4. Know take some portion of the dough and prepare muthias as shown in the muthia video.
  5. Deep fry these muthias till they turn golden brown.
  6. Methi muthias are ready to eat.
  7. Add these muthias to undhiyu and enjoy with fluffy and crispy puris.
