Makai Nu Shaak | Corn Recipes | Gujarati Rasoi

Corn is a very nutritious and tasty recipe. Makai Nu Shaak consists of corn cooked in onion-tomato based gravy and with some traditional Indian spices. This quick recipe can be an excellent alternative to your everyday lunch recipes. Recipe: Ingredients:
  • 250 Grams Boiled Corn
  • Paste of 2 Medium Sized Onions
  • Puree of 2 Tomatoes
  • ¾ Cup of Cream (Malai)
  • 1-1.5 Teaspoon Ginger-Garlic (Adrak-Lehsun) Paste
  • ½ Teaspoon Turmeric (Haldi) Powder
  • 1.5-2 Teaspoon Dhana Jeera Powder
  • 1.5-2 Teaspoon Red Chilli (Lal Mirch) Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Kitchen King Masala
  • 1.5-2 Teaspoon Dried Fenugreek Leaves (Kasuri Methi)
Procedure:
  1. Heat some oil & add onion paste, stir till it turns golden brown.
  2. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté it well.
  3. Add puree of tomatoes, cream and mix well.
  4. Now add turmeric powder, dhana jeera, red chilli powder, kitchen king masala and mix well.
  5. Let it cook for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Add Kasuri methi and mix well.
  7. Add boiled corn, salt and water.
  8. Mix well and close lid to cook for 2-3 minutes.
  9. Makai Nu Shaak is ready to eat.
