Kobi No Sambharo | Cabbage Salad | Gujarati Rasoi

Kobi No Sambharo is a classic Gujarati appetizer recipe which has the crunchiness of cabbage and spiciness of green chillies. This is a quick recipe to make and can be enjoyed as a salad as it is even healthy to eat. The cabbage is almost raw in this recipe which gives the crunchiness to the salad. The traditional mustard seeds and green chilli combination provides the necessary spicy taste to the salad. Kobi No Sambharo is a traditional Gujarati salad which one cannot resist to try out at least once. Recipe: Ingredients –
  • 250 Grams Julienned Cabbage
  • 4-5 Split Green Chillies
  • 1 Teaspoon Mustard Seeds
  • ½ Teaspoon Asafoetida (hing)
  • ½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
Method –
  1. Heat oil and add mustard seeds, asafoetida, green chillies and turmeric powder.
  2. Add cabbage.
  3. Add salt as per taste and stir for 2-3 minutes. Make sure you don’t cook the cabbage too much.
  4. Kobi No Sambharo is ready to eat.
