Shiro is a popular and traditional Gujarati sweet recipe. This recipe is made from minimum ingredients and is a quick Gujarati sweet recipe. This shiro recipe is prepared from wheat flour and is cooked in pure desi ghee to give a traditional and tasty flavour. Recipe: Ingredients –
  • 1 Cup Wheat Flour
  • 2 Cups of Warm Milk
  • ¾ Cup of Ghee
  • ¾ Cup Sugar
  • ½ Teaspoon Cardamom Powder (Elaichi Powder)
  • Chopped Almonds
Method –
  1. Heat ghee in a kadhai.
  2. Add wheat flour and fry it well in the ghee.
  3. Stir till it turns golden brown on a medium flame.
  4. Add sugar and stir till sugar melts.
  5. Add warm milk and stir continuously till milk is absorbed.
  6. Now add some cardamom power and chopped almonds.
  7. Shiro is ready to eat.
