Farali Pattice is a perfect Navratri recipe for your fasting. This upvas recipe is made from potatoes and consists of a coconut based stuffing. The upvas pattice are good taste and can be enjoyed with upvas chutney. Do try out this upvas recipe and have a pleasant navratri. Recipe: Ingredients –
  • 5- 6 Boiled & Grated Potatoes
  • 3 Tablespoon Arrowroot Powder (Ararot)
  • 1 Cup Grated Coconut
  • ½ Cup Roasted Peanut Powder
  • 8-10 Crushed Green Chilies
  • Chopped Coriander
  • Juice of 1 Lemon
  • 1 Teaspoon Sugar
  • Salt
Method –
  1. In a mixing bowl mix grated coconut, roasted peanut powder, crushed green chilies, coriander, lemon juice, sugar and salt.
  2. For the outer covering add ararot powder and salt to 5-6 boiled & grated potatoes. Make dough of the potato mixture.
  3. Make small balls out of the dough, flatten it, add the coconut mixture and close the ends of the dough ball. Now give it a pattice shape and apply ararot powder to the pattice from all sides.
  4. Shallow fry the pattices on low heat and farali pattice for navratri upvas are ready.
