Bhinda Batata Nu Shaak is a traditional Gujarati recipe. In this recipe okra and potatoes are cooked in traditional Gujarati spices. This Gujarati Bhinda Nu Shaak recipe is best enjoyed with hot phulkas. Recipe: Ingredients:
  • 500 Grams Okra (Bhindi)
  • 3-4 Diced Pototoes
  • 1 Teaspoon Carom Seeds (Ajwain)
  • ½ Teaspoon Asafoetida (Hing)
  • ½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1-1.5 Teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
  • 1-1.5 Teaspoon Dhana Jeera Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Kitchen King Masala
  • Coriander Leaves (Dhania)
  • Salt
  • Oil
Procedure:
  1. Heat oil and add carom seeds and asafoetida.
  2. Add diced potatoes and okra. Stir well.
  3. Close lid and cook for 2-3 minutes on a medium flame.
  4. Now add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, dhana jeera powder, kitchen king masala.
  5. Mix the masalas well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Add some coriander leaves and Bhinda Nu Shaak is ready to eat.
