Vagharelo Bhat is a popular Gujarati rice recipe which is easy to make and is prepared from leftover rice. This leftover recipe of rice consists of rice cooked in a tempering of curry leaves, garlic, onions and some traditional spices.   • 2.5 Cup Leftover Rice
  • 1 Sliced Onion
  • 5-6 Chopped Garlic Cloves
  • 8-10 Curry Leaves
  • 1 Teaspoon Mustard Seeds
  • ½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 2 Teaspoon Dhana Jeera Powder
  • 2 Teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
  • Coriander Leaves
  • Oil
Method –
  1. Heat some oil and add garlic cloves, mustard seeds, curry leaves and sliced onion.
  2. Stir till it turns transparent.
  3. Now add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and dhana jeera powder.
  4. Add the leftover rice and stir well.
  5. Add salt and mix well.
  6. Close lid and cook for 2-3 minutes
  7. Now add some coriander leaves and Vagharelo Bhat is ready to eat.
