Magas | Gujarati Sweet Recipe | Gujarati Rasoi

Magas is a popular Gujarati Sweet recipe which is prepared using besan and ghee and is topped with some pistachios. This is a very simple Gujarati sweet recipe and is often prepared for various traditional festivities and ceremonies. Recipe: Ingredients:
  • ½ Cup of Ghee
  • 1 Cup Coarse Gram Flour (Besan)
  • ½ Cup of Powdered Sugar
  • 1 Teaspoon Cardamom Powder (Elaichi Powder)
  • Pistachios
Procedure:
  1. Heat ghee and then add coarse gram flour (besan) and stir continuously.
  2. Stir on a slow to medium gas.
  3. Fry the flour till it becomes golden brown.
  4. Now take it off the gas and let it cool little bit.
  5. After it is cooled little bit, add powdered sugar and cardamom powder. Mix well.
  6. Now pour this mixture in a greased plate.
  7. Spread it evenly and sprinkle some pistachios.
  8. Let the mixture set.
  9. After it becomes firm, cut into equal pieces.
  10. Magas is ready to eat.
