Lilva Ni Kachori is a popular Gujarati snack recipe which is prepared using tuvar (pigeon peas) and traditional green chilli based Gujarati masala. The peculiar shape of the Kachori is very important while preparing Gujarati Tuvar Lilva Ni Kachori. Kachoris are characterized by their crisp outer coating prepared from maida and the spicy masala which is stuffed inside the coating.   • 750 Grams Green Pigeon Peas (Tuvar)
  • 2 Cups All Purpose Flour
  • 10-12 Crushed Green Chillies
  • 1 Teaspoon Mustard Seeds
  • 2 Teaspoon White Sesame Seeds
  • ½ Teaspoon Garam Masala
  • Salt
  • Oil
Method –
  1. Grind coarsely 750 grams of tuvar (green pigeon peas).
  2. Heat oil and add mustard seeds and sesame seeds.
  3. Now add crushed green chillies and sauté it.
  4. Add the grounded green pigeon peas, garam masala and salt.
  5. Mix well and stir for 3-5 minutes.
  6. End it with some coriander leaves.
  7. Knead firm dough of maida, salt and some oil.
  8. Roll some puris out of the dough.
  9. Put the stuffing of green pigeon peas in the puri and close the ends.
  10. Deep fry the kachoris well from both sides.
  11. Tuvar Lilva Ni Kachori is ready to enjoy.
