The holy place of Dakor is famous for Ranchodrajji Temple, Gomti and the famous Dakor Na Gotas. Gotas are nothing but bhajiya consisting of some peculiar spices which gives you the particular essence of the environment of Dakor and calmness of Gomti lake. It is a different experience to enjoy these Gotas alongside the Gomti lake. Dakor Na Gotas are very famous and should be tried at least once. Recipe: Ingredients:
  • 2 Cups Gram Flour (Besan)
  • 1 Cup Semolina (Rava)
  • 1-1.5 Teaspoon Ginger-Green Chilli Paste (Adrak-Hari Mirch Paste)
  • 1 Teaspoon Fennel Seeds (Saunf)
  • 1 Teaspoon Sesame Seeds (Safed Til)
  • 1 Teaspoon Coriander Seeds (Sabut Dhania)
  • 1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
  • ½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
  • 1-1.5 Teaspoon Red Chilli Powder (Lal Mirch)
  • 1 Teaspoon Garam Masala
  • ½ Teaspoon Black Pepper Powder (Kali Mirch)
  • ½ Teaspoon Soda
  • Juice of 1 Lemon
  • 1 Teaspoon Sugar
  • Coriander Leaves (Dhania)
  • Salt
  • Water
  • Oil
Procedure:
  1. In gram flour, add semolina (rava), turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala, fennel seeds, sesame seeds, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, black pepper powder, ginger-green chilli paste, soda, sugar, salt and coriander leaves.
  2. Add ¾ cup of water and mix well to make the batter.
  3. Add 3 tablespoons of hot oil in the batter and mix well.
  4. Drop portions of batter in hot oil and fry the gotas till golden brown on a medium gas.
  5. Dakor Na Gotas are ready, serve with green chillies and dahi.
