Bharela Ringan Nu Shaak | Bharela Ravaiya Nu Shaak | Gujarati Rasoi

Bharela Ravaiya Nu Shaak is a traditional recipe from the kitchens of Gujarat. This traditional recipe is often served with hot phulkas or bajra no rotlo. This recipe consists of eggplant stuffed with some traditional gujarati spices and then stir fried in oil to form a semi gravy shaak.   • 10-12 Brinjals (Baingan)
  • 8-10 Baby Potatoes
  • 1 Cup Gram Flour
  • 3 Teaspoon Roasted Peanut (Singdana) Powder
  • ½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 2 Teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
  • 1-1.5 Teaspoon Dhana Jeera Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Dal Shaak No Masalo
  • 1 Teaspoon Green Chilli Paste
  • 1 Teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste
  • Juice of 1 Lemon
  • 1 Teaspoon Sugar
  • 1-1.5 Teaspoon Oil
  • Salt
  • Coriander Leaves
Method –
  1. Roast gram flour in a kadhai.
  2. Now take this flour in a mixing bowl and add roasted peanut powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, dhana jeera powder, dal shaak no masalo, green chilli paste, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, sugar, salt, oil and some coriander leaves.
  3. Mix all the ingredients well.
  4. Make criss-cross cuts in brinjals and baby potatoes and fill the masala inside.
  5. Heat oil and fry the baby potatoes. Close lid and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Now add the brinjals and cook them well.
  7. Now add the remaining masala, some water and mix well.
  8. Close lid and cook for 3-5 miutes.
  9. Add some coriander leaves and Bharela Ravaiya Nu Shaak is ready to eat.

    1. Dal Shaak Masala is Gujarati style Garam Masala... you can easily get it in Gujarati store. If you don't get it you can even use normal garam masala
