Pav Bhaji | Mumbai Style Pav Bhaji Recipe | Gujarati Rasoi

Recipe: Ingredients –
  • 250 Grams Diced Potatoes
  • 250 Grams Cauliflower
  • 500 Grams Cabbage
  • 150 Grams of Peas
  • 2 Chopped Capiscum
  • 3-4 Chopped Onions
  • 3-4 Chopped Tomatoes
  • 3-4 Teaspoons of ginger garlic paste.
  • Turmeric Powder
  • Coriander-Cumin Powder
  • Red Chili Powder
  • Garam Masala
  • Ghee
  • Butter
Method –
  1. Take some ghee in a kadhai and add 3 teaspoons of butter. Melt the butter.
  2. Add the chopped onions and cook till they are golden brown. Add ginger garlic paste.
  3. Add tomatoes and mix well.
  4. Close lid and cook for 3 minutes.
  5. Add ½ teaspoon turmeric powder, 2 teaspoon coriander-cumin seed powder, 3 teaspoon red chili powder and ½ teaspoon garam masala. Cook for 3 to 5 minutes and keep aside.
  6. In a pressure cooker add potatoes, cauliflower, cabbage and capsicum. Add ½ teaspoon of turmeric powder, salt and water to boil the vegetables.
  7. Stir well and cook the vegetables for 4-5 whistles.
  8. Now take out the vegetable stock in a vessel and smash the vegetables.
  9. Now switch on th flame and add the previously prepared masala in it.
  10. Mix well.
  11. Add the stock and cook it till it starts boiling.
  12. Add salt and pav bhaji masala.
  13. Add some coriander.
  14. On a pan roast a pav in butter.
  15. Serve the bhaji with the pav and some chopped onions.
  16. Juhu Chaupati Pav Bhaji is ready.
