Pani Puri | Pani Puri Recipe | Gujarati Rasoi

Pani Puri or Golgappa is a popular Indian street food recipe which is loved by everyone. Everyone has his or her own memory of gulping down spicy, tangy and tasty pani puri from a street food vendor. This char recipe consists of cripy and fluffy puris, chatpata potato filling and the most important ingredient i.e. pani puri pani made from pudina, coriander and some spices. For Pudina Pani:
  • 1 Inch Ginger
  • 2 Green Chillies
  • ½ Cup Mint Leaves (Pudina)
  • 1 Cup Coriander Leaves
  • ½ Teaspoon Black Salt
  • ½ Teaspoon Roasted Cumin Seed Powder (Jeera)
  • ½ Teaspoon Chaat Masala
  • Salt
  • Boondis
  • Water
For the Filling:
  • 3 Boiled Potatoes
  • ½ Cup Boiled Black Chcickpeas (Kala Chana)
  • ½ Teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Dhana Jeera Powder
  • Salt
For Making Pani Puri:
  • Puris
  • Dates-Tamarind Chutney
Method –
  1. In a mixer grind green chillies, ginger, mint leaves and coriander leaves and make a thick paste.
  2. Add some water to this paste and stir well.
  3. Then add black salt, roasted cumin seed powder, chaat masala and mix well.
  4. Add some boondis and pani puri pani is ready to eat.
  5. For the filling, mash 3 boiled potatoes, add boiled black chickpeas, red chilli powder, dhana jeera powder and salt.
  6. Mix all the ingredients well to make the potato filling.
  7. Make a cavity in the puris and fill the potato filling.
  8. Add some dates tamarind chutney and then the pudina pani.
  9. Chaat Recipe Pani Puri is ready to enjoy.
