  • 1 Cup Tur Dal
  • ½ Cup Peanuts
  • 1 Diced Tomato
  • 2-3 Split Green Chilies
  • 1 Teaspoon Fenugreek Seeds
  • 1 Teaspoon Mustard Seeds
  • 8-10 Curry Leaves
  • Pinch of Hing
  • 3-4 Cloves
  • 2-3 Cinamon Sticks
  • 2-3 Red Chilies
  • ½ Inch Grated Ginger
  • 1 Teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • ½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 2 Teaspoon Dhana Jeera Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Dal Shaak Masala
  • ½ Teaspoon Achar Masala
  • 2 Teaspoon Jaggery
  • Juice of 1 Lemon
  • Coriander Leaves
  • Salt
  • Water
  • Oil
Method –
  1.  In a cooker, keep a vessel and add tur dal, tomatoes, peanuts, green chilies and fenugreek seeds to it.
  2. Add 2 cups of water and cook the dal for 4-5 whistles.
  3. Now, after cooking the dal whisk it well.
  4. Take some oil in cooker and add mustad sseds, hing, laung , cinnamon sticks, red chilies, curry leaves and red chili powder.
  5. Add the previously cooked dal and water. Mix well.
  6. Add turmeric powder, dhana jeera powder, grated ginger, dal shaak masala, achar masala, jaggery and salt.
  7. Mix the ingredients well.
  8. After a boil add lemon juice and mix well.
  9.  Add some coriander leaves and gujarati dal is ready.
