Frankie Recipe | Gujarati Rasoi
Frakie is a popular street food of Mumbai and is a quick to eat snacks recipe. Frankie consists of a tangy & spicy potato filling served in a roll made up of roti. Frankie consists of some green chillies and chopped onion which give the recipe a spicy and crunchy taste. So do try out this easy to make Frankie recipe.

Ingredients –
For Stuffing:
- 8-10 Boiled Mashed Potatoes
- 1-1.5 Teaspoons Green Chilli (Hari Mirch) Paste
- 1 Teaspoon Ginger-Garlic Paste
- 1-1.5 Teaspoon Red Chilli Powder (Lal Mirch)
- 1 Teaspoon Garam Masala
- 1 Teaspoon Chaat Masala
- Salt
- Coriander Leaves
- 2 Teaspoons Butter
For Vinegar-Green Chilli Mix:
- Vinegar
- Chopped Green Chilli
For Onion Mix:
- Chopped Onions
- Red Chilli Powder
- Dried Mango (Amchur) Powder
- Salt
For Making Frankie:
- Slightly roasted Maida/ Wheat Rotis
- Butter
Method –
- Melt butter in a pan and add green chilli paste and ginger-garlic paste. Fry it well.
- Now add red chilli powder and garam masala. Mix well.
- Now add the boiled and mashed potatoes and mix well.
- Add chaat masala and salt as per taste.
- Add some coriander leaves and our stuffing is ready.
- To make vinegar-green chilli mix, add some vinegar to chopped green chill and mix well.
- For the onion mix, mix red chilli powder, dried mango (amchur) powder and salt in chopped onions.
- Now take some butter and roast the rotis.
- Place the roti on a flat surface, sprinkle some amchur powder.
- Make a long shape out of the stuffing and place it on the roti.
- Add the vinegar-green chilli mix, onion mix and sprinkle some chaat masala.
- Roll the roti and our Mumbai style Frankie is ready to eat.
